Through September we are showing works by contemporary painter and printmaker, Jackie Russell.

Her practice exploring atmosphere and memory through abstraction of lived experience. The oil paintings are built intuitively through layers of rich impasto and translucent glazes.

The contrast between heavily worked and delicate surfaces creates tension, depth and ambiguity.
