Caroline Yates RCA

A perpetual theme in Caroline’s work is observing rituals and ceremonies, extended families and ‘mingling’; ostensibly comforting environments that conceal tensions and detachment.  Recent work examines the notion of possession - burden or treasure.

Most canvases are completed unstretched on the wall or floor, or on board and found substrates.  Caroline has an ongoing personal challenge to deconstruct her work; breaking figurative imagery down to form and colour.
