Susan Absolon
Biography
Susan graduated in Spanish & Latin American studies from UCL in 1979, then studied painting at West Surrey College of Art in Farnham, graduating with 1st Class Honours in 1988, followed by a postgraduate course at Central St. Martin’s in London in 1989. For over 20 years Susan worked in art collection management and was a successful freelance designer of bespoke contemporary rugs. Since 2011, she has been working fulltime as an independent, professional artist. Her paintings have been selected for many exhibitions across the UK, and are in private collections in the UK and abroad. Susan is currently shortlisted for the Contemporary British Painting Prize.

Susan received a Juliet Gomperts painting bursary in 2012 and has twice previously been longlisted for the Contemporary British Painting Prize.
